Introducing the 2 new "Blu-ray Stamper Evaluation Systems"
now added to the successful MASTER electrical signal tester series. This new test
equipment is designed specifically for Stamper evaluation; featuring reliable
performance, compact size, and the same software designed for the BD MASTER. Standardizing
key optical components in our entire MASTER series means testers give excellent
correlation between systems. The option to swap between stamper and replica testing
is quick and easy.

SBP-03
(for BD-ROM / R / RE Stampers) For stampers requiring a temporary, easy to
remove, cover layer, Pulstec provides 2 options either spin coating or film coating
methods. This system provides the option to test stampers and replicas.

SBP-03-CN
(for BD-R / RE Stampers) This systems unique feature is that stampers do not
require a cover layer as Pulstec has designed a special PUH with surface focusing
lens feature. (This is not suitable for BD-ROM stampers and BD discs in our
experience)
This system automatically evaluates the electric characteristics
of Blu-ray discs and can be used in a wide range of fields such as production
and quality control.
The MASTER has taken over the basic concept of the
High End Tester and was designed so as to reduce the operation space and cost.
The user I/F has been renewed for the Manufacturing Dep. and its usability has
been improved. The MASTER offers you the quality recognized by the Optical Disc
Testing & Certification Center. The MASTER is the quality that only Pulstec
can offer, whose High End Testers are highly recognized by our customers.

The
MASTER has an excellent correlation with our High End Tester (ODU-1000 and INSPECTOR).
The newly designed hardware equips the basic parts such as PUH, evaluation circuit
etc. that are used in the ODU-1000 and INSPECTOR. In addition, the MASTER has
taken over the same measurement algorithm with that of ODU-1000 automatic measurement
system, which are adopted in Testing Centers.

It
has succeeded in reducing the operation space and price by combining the control
circuit, signal circuit, measurement board, and mecha unit.
•
Up
to maximum of 6 MASTERs can be controlled by ONE PC, therefore a compact system
is available for sampling inspection and total inspection needs.

As
to applications, there are 2 types of the screen mode that are the Manager Mode
which allows to select the parameter freely and the Operator Mode whose parameter
is already fixed. The MASTER is designed as a communication tool within your company
or with another company, so the output format of the measurement result can be
set and changed as you like.

A
maximum of 30 measurement conditions can be set into each short cut key so as
to start a measurement easily. Even if you are not using the short cut keys, an
interactive wizard will guide you.
•
The
measurement data is displayed in ONE page in the summary/result page, so it is
easy to check the various data measured in the past. Any data measured in the
past can be displayed easily by entering the dates and keywords in the search
function of the measurement data file.

program is recommended by Pulstec.
The MASTERs are used by various customers from different
fields such as disc manufacturers, drive manufacturers, PC manufacturers, system
integrator, and material manufacturers. More than 200 sets of the High End Testers
have been delivered all over the world and their achievements have led to our
customers' selection of the MASTER. Our MASTERs are used in the Q.C. Dep.,
which requires the reliability of data, and also used as a Defect Analysis tool
or a communication tool within your company or with another company.
This system supports the determination of optical disc format
by connecting to Pulstec optional units. Also, it can evaluate the current
version of optical disc.
