6 - 8, 2008, Media-Tech Expo, the largest optical media trade event in the world,
was held in Frankfurt, Germany. At this show Pulstec Industrial Co., Ltd demonstrated
the "MASTER" our Blu-ray replica
tester, and the "INSPECTOR" our Blu-ray stamper and replica tester,
and displayed the panel for "NEO series"
nano-lithography system and "PWS-1000"
wavefront sensor.
A key feature of both the "INSPECTOR" and
"MASTER" testers is their excellent compatibility with ODU-1000, the
industry's de-facto standard for Blu-ray media testing. The ODU-1000 system is
being used exclusively by Blu-ray testing centers.
With the "INSPECTOR"
system Pulstec was able to show our 'spin-on' cover layer solution that allows
stamper quality evaluation and demonstrated how quick and easy it is to switch
the system between stamper and replica testing. Whilst the 'MASTER' system showed
how Pulstec has taken many of the key components that established the success
of the ODU-1000 tester systems, and adapted them to provide a lower cost high
quality tester specifically for the disc manufacturer.
